SandyG visited on 30th Jul 2016 - their rating: Cond: 2 Amb: 5 Access: 5 The row is situated adjacent to the public highway. Whilst there is no formal car parking available you may be able to find a space to park. Do not leave your vehicle here unattended as the area is frequently used for nearby forestry operations.

The Bryn Seward site is incorporates the standing stones, a number of cairns and an associated field system. The standing stones / row are likely to be of Bronze Age date, and have been built into a probable Post-Medieval field wall. They are situated alongside the ancient trackway known as the Ffordd Ddu.
However, in the 1970s the Ordnance Survey suggested that there are actually four stones, and although this view has been endorsed by many, it appears that there is no definite conclusion regarding the number of stones constituting the group - as they are incorporated into the field wall, several of the larger stones at the base of the wall could be part of the original group. [Thanks to Nina Steele Gwynedd Archaeological Trust]
The row is marked on maps as four, 2 before the fence & 2 after travelling east torwards the forest.
I visited this site June 2006 these two stones are the most obvious members of the Row which are located after the fence.
There appears a large fallen stone of the right proportions in the row amongs the field wall.
Update October 2019: This row is featured on the Stone Rows of Great Britain website - see their entry for Bryn Seward, which includes a description, photographs of the alignment and the individual stones, a plan of the row and its associated cairn, plus access information and links to other online resources for more information.
The SRoGB also includes a section discussing, and illustrating, Landmark Reveals which come landmarks become visible (and disappear again) as you walk along the row. Also refer to the SRoGB's entry for Sea Views at Bryn Seward.
The row is also recorded as Coflein NPRN 302812 (Stone Row, Bryn Seward).
