This site is actually two sites, both of them barrow cemetaries. The first one located on a long hill overlooking some farms lower down at the sea. It has about 10 smaller burial mounds, about 4-6 metres in diametre, but with a pretty shape in a grass meadow that makes them easy to photograph.
The second barrow cemetary is down at the sea on two smaller peninsulas. It is one of the largest barrow cemetaries from northern Norway. It has about 80-100 smaller to medium sized burial cairns! most of them are damaged, some rocks have been used to make stone fences in modern age, and some are overgrown with grass or brush, but most of them are easy visible.
They vary from 3 metres, up to 10 metres across. The whole area is so "packed" with burial cairns that it is almost impossible not so notice them if you are walking in this area!
It is a interesting area, and the high number of burials suggest this area to be well-populated in the iron age.
