This dolmen has been moved or destroyed by the owner of the field before 1984 (when the two tumuis of Sainte Soline were excavated) to gain some few extra meters for his cultures. The dolmen had been excavated in 1802.

This dolmen could be found between Vanzay and Messé, on the road D114. Coming from Vanzay towards Messé, it was on the right of the road.

It made part of the set with the dolmen de la Pierre levée of Lezay, the round tumulus of Russel, the two tumuli of Sainte Soline and the big dolmen de la Pierre Pèse of Limalonges.

When i tried to search for it with an old map, I could see a very big stone (however not enough big to be a capstone) in a field. I thought it was one of the support stones and that it now serves as a boundary stone. I didn't have the reaction to take a photo.

Happily, in the past, some people had the good idea to take pictures to make postcards!
