There is an info sign inside the gate. Walk about a dozen steps down into the well. A low metal barrier prevents physical entrance into the well, but the view is fine. The subterranian well may be the site of rituals and possibly executions by drowning. It is very dark, large, and spooky to the max! I highly recommend going. | 1 | 2 |

It was hard to find in the quite soggy and bushy plant life - It looks like the area gets cut seasonally. If uncut, the plants in the area are very dense, with many stinging nettles, so wear long pants and sleeves!
Finding the well was a lovely reward to nearly an hour of searching. It is slightly Northeast from the google maps pin. The well is rich with algae and plants, and it *magically* healed a nettle sting. A very quiet and beautiful ... Read More |
