Ballymeanoch Kerb Cairn

Ballymeanoch Kerb Cairn submitted by caradoc68 on 11th Dec 2011. NR 83395 96429, Kerb cairn, Ballymean. Kilmartin Glen is a very interesting area in Argyll rich in Archaeology. This Kerb cairn in know exception, being on private land the farmer has kindly fenced it off with pubic access to severely Neolithic/Bronze age features in this field.

Temple Wood S

Temple Wood S submitted by funsize on 4th Jun 2007. This is a cracking site. Large cobble mound with slivers of upright slabs and a central cist. Very accessible and one of many impressive sites within a small area of the Kilmartin Valley. This shows the larger cairn, there is a smaller one ringed by trees a stones throw to the south west.

Achnabreck

Achnabreck submitted by custer on 11th Jul 2012. Fantastic paterns over a wide area of exposed stone cap on the hill. Fascinating to think what may be hidden by moss. The wet weather added to this providing definition to the circles, glad I made the effort to get up the hill.
