St Keyne's Well submitted by AngieLake on 13th Sep 2008. The area of the well, on a corner where two lanes meet.
En route from Liskeard to Duloe turn off [signposted to St Keyne's Well] on sharp bend in St Keyne village. About a mile downhill [a narrow road!], and this otherworldly place is on your left. Steps lead into well area from the lane, and from the road. Really, really worth a visit!

Lady's Well (Holystone) submitted by KiwiBetsy on 5th Dec 2004. During the first half of the 12th century a Priory was built at Holystone as a home for some Augustinian Canonesses. Since then the well has been known as Lady's Well after these religious ladies who cared for the well right up to the Dissolution of the Monasteries. They are said to have added the cross that reflects so splendidly in the water.

This massive tumulus is 120m long and 12 metres high, with a chapel built on top of it. It is (or was when I was there in 1987) possible to visit inside the mound and see the two large chambers and many smaller stone lined cists.
Many artefacts were found during past excavations, lots of which can be found in the Carnac Museum.

Black Down (Dorset) submitted by TimPrevett on 15th Jan 2021. "The Black Down stone circle consists of five ‘totems’ built from local Forest Marble stone. One is aligned with true north and the other four with the midwinter and midsummer solstice sunrises and sunsets. In clear conditions at each of these times, the Sun’s full disc shines through an opening in one of the totems, lighting up a central rock of Portland stone."
