Soulbury Stone

Soulbury Stone submitted by ocifant on 4th Sep 2005. Located some 50 yards or so north of the church, at the junction of High Road and Chapel Hill (SP882270), this stone looms from the tarmac like a walrus breaking from the sea. There are no give way signs, or other warnings, and yet no sign of collision damage, which is a minor miracle of some kind! Don't look for this one at night.

Oldbury Rock Shelters

Oldbury Rock Shelters submitted by ocifant on 17th Feb 2004. I had no tripod on me this day, and light levels were low, hence the evident camera shake. On the eastern fringe of the public part of the hillfort is a footpath leading down towards Oldbury Lane. This cave is just off that footpath.
