Log Text: It is possible to park carefully just round the corner of Lower Cragabus Farm. It is just 10 yards up to Cragabus Cairn on a knoll on the left of the road.

Log Text: There is a small car park at NX 1412 6188. It is preferable to have a bike from this point to reduce your travel time. Follow the Southern Upland Way signs SE for c. 400 yards to reach a locked gate. Follow the rocky road for c. 0.7 mile to a junction at NX 1488 6067. Turn right then follow the track for c. 1 mile to reach NX 1553 5955. Turn left then travel for c. 2.6 miles to NX 1720 6041. Craig Fell N Cairn is in a clearing c. 80 yards E of the track. Head E for 30 yards through scrubby trees to reach a stone wall. Climb over the wall. Head S between the forest and the wall looking for a vague path E after c. 30 yards. Follow it in a clearing with Craig Fell N Cairn in the centre.

Log Text: Craigencroy Cairn is accessed via Kilmuir farm track which extends NW into the SE corner of a field. Head N up the slope for 330 yards towards a gateway. The cairn is c. 25 yards NW of the gateway in the field boundary.

Log Text: It took detailed planning and cost me a lot of energy to find this cairn, literally in the middle of nowhere. However seeing the mound rising above the chaos of tree debris made it all worthwhile.

Log Text: I visited Craigenlee Fell E Cairn via Craigenlee Fell W Cairn. Head ENE from Craigenlee Fell W Cairn through rough moorland grass for c. 400 yards to locate Craigenlee Fell E Cairn. The cairn is c. 120 yards E of a Wind Turbine.

Log Text: Craigenlee Fell W Cairn is situated on the summit of Craigenlee Fell, an obvious location for an ancient monument. Wind Turbines have recently been constructed on Craigenlee Fell.

Log Text: The modern beacon on the fort makes it difficult to see the ancient aspects of the fort. The inner and outer ramparts are the most visible ancient remains.

Creebridge Cairn submitted by PaulM on 30th Oct 2002. Creebridge cairn This cairn is located on the outskirts of Minnigaff/Newton Stewart and is superbly preserved. It could be associated with a number of cairns in this area. To find it drive along the B7079 from Minnigaff towards the A75 - the cairn is in a roadside clearing at NX41706560 and stands at least 4m tall. The noticeboard is informative.

Log Text: I had driven past Creebridge Cairn many times before I became aware of its existence: it is screened from the road by vegetation and street furniture. There is no signage marking this ancient monument. The grassy mound is relatively intact.

Log Text: Crickley Hill Enclosure is a large space that requires imagination to interpret the remains. The most impressive feature is the Iron Age Rampart at the entrance to the Enclosure.

Log Text: In common with many Cornish Sites, it is difficult to park close to Crousa Common Stones. The closest safe parking stot is a picnic spot at St Keverne Beacon, 100 yards off the B3293. My walking route to the stones is viewable on Crousa Common Stones/a>.

Log Text: On the N edge of Croy turn onto Nethercroy Road, signed for Croy Miner's Welfare Charitable Society. Follow this lane for c. 150 yards past new houses to a parking spot at the start of the John Muir/Croy Hill Path. After c. 250 yards go through a gate. Bear left to visit the remains of Antonine Wall then continue up the Croy Hill Path for c. 0.7 mile to reach Croy Hill Fort.
