Log Text: After viewing numerous pictures of this on the web, I felt a strong urge to reach this site. A calling if you like.
Like with a few powerful sites I've visited, my journey is usually a tough one. Be it getting lost and stressed or battling really bad weather, this site proved no exception to those circumstances.
Upon arrival I was truly humbled by it's enormity, but the pains of my journey were soon forgotten when I thought of the labour that went into building this chamber.
Truly one of the most amazing ancient structures I've seen.

Manémeur 2 & 3 menhirs
Date Added: 26th Sep 2010
Site Type: Standing Stones
Country: France (Bretagne:Morbihan (56))
Visited: Yes on 1st Aug 2010. My rating: Condition 5 Ambience 5 Access 5
Manémeur 2 & 3 menhirs submitted by Jimwithnoname on 24th Sep 2010. Our sky was clear and soothing to mind. Pure to the senses. We were lost in layers and washes of colour. There's no light pollution at this point and only the sound of crickets in the grass. I realised it's position that night as sky became stone.

Din Lligwy
Date Added: 7th Sep 2011
Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: Wales (Anglesey)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 4 Access 4

Din Lligwy submitted by TimPrevett on 3rd Jul 2002. Lligwy Ancient Settlement SH497861
This settlement, NW from Moelfre and not far from the Lligwy burial chamber is huge! A short walk from parking space for maybe 3 cars, through woodland, this location can occupy a considerable amount of time exploring the nooks & crannies of this probable 4th century AD settlement.

Caer Leb
Date Added: 7th Sep 2011
Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: Wales (Anglesey)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 3 Access 4
Caer Leb submitted by TimPrevett on 14th Apr 2004. Caer Leb is a rectilinear settlement enclosure, with double ditches and banks defining an area 200 feet by 160 feet. Some have interpreted it as a mediaeval homestead with moat (indeed, some of the ditches get very water logged). However, finds of a 3rd Century AD brooch, a 4th Century denarius of Postumus, and Roman pottery and quernstones date the site much earlier than mediaeval. Like the Din Lligwy Settlement, the CADW guidebook says it possibly has its origins earlier than the 3rd Century, ...
