There is a large barrow cemetery with 20 round barrows 300 metres inland (north) from the road down a farm track and into the woods. The sign at the site described it as Hugelgraberwalchen Osterlich von Klein Stavern.

Jelling Rundhøj 1 submitted by DrewParsons on 11th Oct 2009. Site in South Jutland (Sønderjylland): One of the twin burial mounds at Jelling, the church set between the two. For the life of me I cannot now work out which of the two this is!! On some websites both mounds have flag poles but on others only one does. The northern mound is 8 metres high and contained a grave chamber made of oak dated to 958-9 AD and is thought to be the original grave of King Gorm the Old.
