Caus Castle submitted by TheWhiteRider on 30th Jul 2005. Part of the NE bank. Taken whilst struggling to locate the footpath, this must have been part of the post-Norman conquest bailey, but is it also part of the Iron Age fort?

Clee Burf
Date Added: 25th Jun 2012
Site Type: Hillfort
Country: England (Shropshire)
Visited: Yes on 13th Jul 2005
Clee Burf submitted by TheWhiteRider on 13th Jul 2005. The only possible prehistoric earthwork that I could make out on the heavily quarried summit of Clee Burf looked similar to the corss ridge dykes of The Long Mynd or in the environs of Stapeley Common. Perhaps this small part of the Iron Age settlement has asurvived?

Druids Circle (Penmaenmawr) submitted by TheWhiteRider on 27th Jun 2006. The Stone of Sacrifice. According to Burl, the legend states that the victims of infanticide were placed on this natural ledge. It was quite smooth to the touch, reminding me somewhat of the Polisher stone on Fyfield Down in Wiltshire.

Four Stones (Powys) submitted by TheWhiteRider on 4th Jul 2005. Four Stones Stone Circle in Powys. The circle is situated right by the road and there appears to be no access, although the grass had been trodden down around them. Despite this the circle is very impressive due to the sheer sizer of the stones.
