Kingston Russell Circle submitted by JimChampion on 31st Dec 2004. Boxing Day 2004. Composite image, taken shortly after noon looking south-west. The field is currently being used as pasture, which means that access is muddy but at least the circle is not lost in crops. Lyme bay can be seen in the distance, and Abbotsbury hill-fort to the left of this.

Merrivale Menhir submitted by AngieLake on 10th Apr 2015. This shot shows the "smaller pillar" that Butler describes, in relation to the menhir and the cairn 6 pit. He says: "The menhir, 3.1 m high, still stands in its original position, 42 m almost due south from the centre of the stone circle. There is no evidence that the smaller pillar, 2 m long, lying a few meters away ever stood upright, but it was erected in 1895 in the pit alongside, toppling again a few years later. Site Type: Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature
Country: England (Derbyshire)
Visited: Yes

Cork Stone submitted by Vicky on 13th Nov 2001. The Cork Stone, Stanton Moor, Derbyshire GR: SK245628
The Cork Stone is one of a number of impressive natural outcrops on Stanton Moor. Composed of weathered sandstone it resembles a huge mushroom or cork. As with the Andle Stone nearby it is covered in graffiti from the 19th and 20th centuries and has steps carved into the side to allow access to the top.
