Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: Scotland (Argyll)
Visited: Yes on 1st Aug 2014
St Columba's Well (Southend) submitted by KiwiBetsy on 8th Oct 2006. The church, cemetery, well and footprint lie on the north side of the minor road to the Mull of Kintyre … about two miles past Southend. The well lies about 20 yards northwest of the northwest corner of the ruined church. The easiest way to reach it is to park in the cemetery carpark and walk around the next corner (heading to the Mull of Kintyre). Just around the bend is a signed path to the footprint. Country: England (Lancashire)
Visited: Yes on 8th Aug 2015. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 3 Access 3

Bonfire Hill 1 submitted by LivingRocks on 8th Apr 2005. Pike Lowe Cairn has hard a hard life, part of the site has been damaged by quarrying, it was partially leveled for use as a beacon site, and to add insult to injury I was told by a local farmer that the site was dug extensively by treasure hunters in the 1980’s when it was rumored that it was one of the locations in the Cadbury's Creme Egg Mystery Treasure Hunt, a competition where contestants followed a series of clues to buried caskets to win a prize of a solid gold egg.

Boskenna Cross submitted by enkidu41 on 15th Nov 2004. The shot shows the principal face of the cross with its depiction of Christ.
The three-part base is out of all proportion to the cross. The look of stability is deceptive given its three damaging brushed with modern traffic!

St Buryan (Village) submitted by enkidu41 on 16th Nov 2004. It is possible that this cross may have been adopted as a Market Cross when the parish of St. Buryan was granted a market charter in 1302. The platform is certainly at a focal point of the village.

Figsbury Rings
Date Added: 16th Jan 2017
Site Type: Hillfort
Country: England (Wiltshire)
Visited: Yes on 1st Oct 2016. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 4 Access 4

Figsbury Rings submitted by JimChampion on 23rd Jan 2005. January 2005. Looking at the NE section of the ramparts from within the rings. The highest portion of the rampart is visible behind the ash trees growing in the inner ditch. These are the only significant trees within the rings, which are now grazed to conserve the chalk grassland habitat. The red flag is a warning that the neighbouring MOD range is in use. From the ring you get an amazing view of the MOD's impact on the modern landscape north-east of Salisbury.

One picture taken of a 3D model conceived during a wet weekend. Projects like this can reveal previously unseen features.
I would point out that the henge itself is now thought to have been built after the timbers decayed.
