The barrow cemetery is located on a large elongated natural forest covered sand terrace with steep slopes to the North, west and south. A small ridge connect the terrace to the terrain to the east and a forest path leads from a local nearby road to the cemetery. Despite beeing forest covered, some of the barrows lack trees or brush and can easy be found. Without the forest it would be a beautiful view over the Øyeren lake to the west.
In all there are 18 round barrows in the cemetery. The barrows are oriented in two groups, one to the east consisting of 10 barrows and one to the west with 8 barrows. Four of the barrows in the eastern group are large, around 11-12 metres in diameter and around 2 metres in height. They all have clear ditches around them and they are buildt so close that they almost tuch each other. The other barrows are small, around 2 to 7 metres in diameter.
6 of the barrows in the west group are large, around 11-15 metres in diameter and 1,5 to 2 metres in height. The large barrows in this group are buildt so close together as in the east group that they are almost tuching each other. This part of the cemetery has more tight vegetation than the east group and harder to get good photos of.
