**D54b Hooghalen** submitted by Martin_L : Remains of a neolithic chambered tomb, originally measuring approx. 8 x 3.1m [1]. Foreground: a damaged orthostat. The site was discovered in 1946 and examined by A.E. Van Giffen et. al. in 1947. A long oval pit where the chamber was extracted in historic times is still visible. Remains of a neolithic chambered tomb, originally measuring approx. 8 x 3.1m [1]. It was discovered in 1946 and examined by A.E. van Giffen et. al. in 1947.

The megaliths are robbed except for one orthostat and fragments left from destruction, but the paved chamber floor was partly preserved. A long oval pit where the chamber was extracted in historic times is still visible. The site is not signposted, but it is close to a forest track.
