D18 Rolde
D18 Rolde submitted by dmlovelock : D18 is a beautiful example. Like several others, it has been restored, a capstone held in place with steel pins. Adjacent to D17, and a medieval church. Nov 1, 2004 (Vote or comment on this photo)
Passage Grave at Rolde in Drenthe

There are two hunebedden, D17 and D18, at Rolde, at the back of the village in parkland by the church.
D18 is bigger and in much better condition than its sister.

D18 Rolde
D18 Rolde submitted by Alta-Falisa : Have a close look at the opposition between the relatively slim "uprights" and the bulky half-spherical "capstones" having always their flat side turned downwards, all characteristics of Hunebedden. The entrance is visible halfway between both ends, but is now limited to the two stones lying on the ground. SEP.2012
