Val Evans writes: I see that Tracey Ramsbottom has uploaded back copies of her Devon earth mysteries magazine, Wisht Maen. I would be pleased to offer up the original version of my book The Celtic Way, which is a walking guide through the prehistoric sites of western Britain.

The Celtic Way is a route put together by local volunteers. The book was first published in 1998 and the copyright has now reverted back to me so I'm happy to share.

It has walking and historical details for the many prehistoric sites from Pembrokeshire to Stonehenge and Glastonbury. The 18 guide sections are organised into 2 parts - Wales and West and you can download them from here:

Much has changed along the route: The walking details are out of date and there have been exciting new discoveries about megalithic sites along the route. (Bluestone 'factories' and a structure predating Stonehenge in the Preseli Hills to name just two). Some visiting for field work and updating this winter. Pembrokeshire and Vale of Glamorgan are top of the list, then the key hills and sites from Carmarthen to Margam. Interesting stuff and no doubt wet windy and muddy. Updates on the website as and when in new year.
