Nominated photographs (your own or by others) should be of the very highest quality. They should be atmospheric and really give you a tingle. We all respond differently to such images, but successful photographs will awaken a similar response in most of us. Interpret "spirit" in your own way - we do not necessarily mean spiritual or religious and your suggested images can reflect the secular essence of place as well.
Nominate photographs by simply adding a comment to the effect that you want to suggest it for the Spirit of Place Gallery. Please give your name or User ID, as we shall not accept anonymous suggestions. As always, the editors' decisions will be final and only the most appropriate of our 18000+ images will be included. Non-inclusion should not be regarded as adverse criticism and as we intend to change the Gallery's contents from time to time, your nominations may appear later if not selected at first.
