Description
The view from high ground on the north slope of Knocknaveacal looking across Killmakilloge Harbour to Knockatee mountain.
The stone row, 5 stone circle and pit burial can be seen on the right. The multiple stone circle on the left.

Thanks Horatio.....shame about those trees though. If the trees weren't there you'd have a view over the harbour from the site. Still, a special location and site for sure.

Beautiful view. Guessing trees were probably not there when the stones were erected...?

Yep, spot on Angie. Those are not native trees so most unlikely they were there then. That said though, there could have been other trees there before those I guess....one for the pollen counters to conclude on. The white buildings just visible on the far side of the water are a couple of houses and a pub right on the waters edge...Teddy O'Sullivans at Bunaw, Killmakilloge Harbour - maybe you visited there on your travels? You'd travel a long way to find a better pint of porter.
