Coldrum has sent in the following information to add to this site page - with thanks.

A linear Barrow cemetery with disc and pond barrows, on Rushford Downs.
Prehistoric pottery and Saxon urns were found here.
Legend claims that either the bodies of those killed in the battle of Fornham were buried here or seven barons killed in the same battle in 1173.

Norfolk Heritage Explorer NHER Number: 5958.

Its been a few years since I last visited this site but its certainly an impressive area with the small track bounding huge flat expanses of Breckland fields.

The barrors are in varying states of preservation, the bell barrow (as I remember) being in good conditiona and quite large. I remember that one point the track passes an abandoned airfield and boarded up control tower providing an interesting historical contrast.

Well worth visiting
