megalithicmatt visited on 5th Nov 2011 - their rating: Cond: 4 Amb: 5 Access: 3 A complete circle, how rare! The stones are extremely small and the hilltop is extremely windy.

North Strone submitted by cosmic : North Strone in Aberdeenshire at NJ584138 has the smallest recumbent anywhere (4ft6in) and all the stones are small. Burl gives ot Grade 4 but this is harsh as the circle seems to be almost complete although most of the stones have fallen. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Recumbent Stone Circle in Aberdeenshire. Well positioned on the east side of Strone Hill this circle of diminutive stones is quite large. Nearly all the stones are fallen but seem to be in their original positions.
