Anne T couldn't find on 13th Jul 2018 - their rating: Cond: -1 Amb: 4 Access: 5 Wester Biggs Stone Circle, Near Dunblane: Returning from tea and cakes in Dunblane, we resumed our search for megalithic sites. Next stop, hopefully, a not-before-photographed stone circle, right by the side of the road. Finding the telephone mast and driving a couple of hundred yards further on, we parked at NN 86368 06240 and walked back south along the road, armed with the Canmore listing on my phone and the GPS. Stone Circle in Perthshire

This stone circle is recorded as Canmore site no. 25219, the latest entry from 1967 reading: "A small circle of stones was located within a cut-down plantation, at NN 8627 0608. The circle, about 5.5m in diameter, is formed by seven prostrate stones, varying in size from 1.5m long x 0.9m wide x 0.4m thick to 1.2m long x 0.8m thick x 0.3m wide; there is no indication of a cairn."

The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) also features a page for this stone circle - see their entry for Wester Biggs, Dunblane, Perthshire, which gives directions for finding this site together with local folklore and descriptions of the site from two 19th century publications.
