Standing Stone/Cross Slab in Perthshire

This early medieval cross slab is recorded as Canmore ID 24531 which says: "This small cross-slab, inclined to the S, was located at the side of the road on top of a mutilated natural knoll. It measures 1.2m high by 0.5m broad, and varies in thickness from 0.4m at the base to 0.15m at the top." It adds that the cross stands on a knoll called Tom a'Mhoid (the Moot Hill).

The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) also feature page for this stone - see their entry for Adamnan’s Cross, Camusvrachan, Glen Lyon, Perthshire which has directions for finding the site together with photographs, a brief archaeology & history and local folklore.

We drove Glen Lyon early in October (2023) and failed to find this stone on the south side of the road... HOWEVER, on the return journey we noticed something suspiciously similar, in the far corner of a grassy field with a diagonal path from the gate, on the north side of the lane. For various reasons, we didn't investigate further but as there was some new work on the south side - the land has been strengthened with those huge wire-wrapped blocks which were still visible below the road, not yet having been covered by grass etc., - we think the stone may have been relocated recently? I can't be 100% sure as we failed to stop(!) and I cannot find any information on the internet.
In the light of a big chunk of the road having been washed away by heavy rain on the following weekend (7/8 October 2023) this seems even more plausible!
Also, please note that until major repairs have been carried out Glen Lyon is NOT accessible from the Fortingall end.

Driving up Glen Lyon to see a historic tree, the Glen Lyon Ash, we came across this cross right at the road side a few hundred metres before the tree. Thought it was a standing stone so had to photgraph it. The tree is worth a look!
