Natural Stone in Dumfries and Galloway

Mentioned in our King's Well (Carsphairn) site page, this natural feature is recorded as Canmore Site ID 63886, 'King's Stone'.

Canmore simply tells us: "King's Stone - a small granite rock. Traditionally, Robert the Bruce sat on it while drinking from the well".

This stone is in a remote spot, but any photographs of this feature and surrounding landscape would be greatly appreciated.
