Bossiney Settlement submitted by Bladup : Looking over the Fort/settlement it looked to me that there was Huts/settlement either side of the so-called defences, The more places i visit the more i think that in many cases the banks and ditches where of a ritual/symbolic nature and were only used as defences if they were been or about to be attacked, eg If attacked from the sea they'd all go the landward side of the defences and if attacked...
