At Green Bay, Bryher, are the remains of a prehistoric field system in the intertidal zone. It comprises isolated walls visible as lines of spaced boulder and edge set slabs and also small irregular enclosures.

These denuded stoney linears represent the core element of an extensive prehistoric field system, Just to the south and visible from 1976 though to the mid 80's was a Romano-British funerary Porthcressa-type cist, datable to the first to fourth centuries AD. Its visible remains included a setting of small slabs defining an oblong internal area 1.8m long, north-south, by up to 0.9m wide, infilled to within 0.2m of its side slabs by shore sand, It was excavated in 1977
