Cairn in Hordaland
In the garden of Solstrand Fjordhotel on a natural rock outcrop is a bronze/iron age round cairn. The cairn is inside the garden of the hotel on a natural rock outcrop with steep cliffs towards the sea at the south and east side.
The cairn is heavily damaged in early and later years and has originally been much larger. Stones have been thrown everywhere and some have fallen down the steep cliff towards the sea. Parts of the natural cliff can be seen at the bottom of the cairn and large parts of it is overgrown with grass. Some trees have been planted on the cairn and there is also a flag pole at its center. According to kulturminnesøk the cairn once was 15 metres in diameter and 2-3 metres in height.
