Girommen. Passage grave.
This passage grave is called Girommen, which means “the Giant’s oven”. People former belived that “Giantess of Brunnhemsberget” prepared and cooked her food here. A passage grave has a sepulchral chamber and a passage which is directed eastward. The dead was buried in the sepulchral chamber with grave gifts such as beads made of amber or animal teeth, axes of polished flint, and other stone tools. The graves was also meeting places for the living. Here they made sacifices and preformed ritual acts.
There is about 250 passage graves in Falbygden around the town Falköbing.
There are many cupmarks on one of the capstones.
