Catten Stones 07 submitted by Rich32 : Catten Stones 07 on ERA and referenced 141 in 'Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding'. A number of cup-like depressions and quarry marks (drill holes) are present on this stone. Image captured 14 June 2012. Rock Art in Yorkshire (West)

This upstanding rock is recorded as having seven very worn cups on its north-eastern edge, along with lots of prominent, natural cracks and drill marks (from quarrying or trying to move the rock?). Two of these cups may be natural depressions. For more information see ERA-2445 Catten Stones 07, which gives a description and includes photographs and a plan of the rock and its motifs.

This rock is located on Open Access land.
