Ancient Temple in Syria
Foundations of Small Temple at the East of the City, close to Hadrians Gate and the large Temple of Baal.
403 Meters Altitude Nabu was the Babylonian god of writing and wisdom as well as the patron of the scribes. He is symbolised by the clay writing tablet with a stylus. This would have been important in Palmyra on account of the extensive trading activity, which was so meticulously recorded on clay tablets for millennia.
