Rock art in Uppland

The Brandskog ship is different from all the other Swedish ship carvings.

It is 4.2m long and has a realistically carved crew of 6 oarsmen. Another human figure 1.1m long is lifting the boat.

It is from the Bronze Age as the various references to it suggest? Perhaps it was done later using some of the Bronze age iconography - like the boatlifter and the design of the boat.

At the same site is a more "normal" looking rock art figure - a male with outstretched arms.
