The Stoup
The Stoup submitted by enkidu41 : A rectangular-sectioned slab-like stone about 2 metres high with width of about .5 metres and thickness of about .25 metres. The stone does not taper and bears noticeable erosion on its top. Leaning precariously it's clear that it is not buried that deeply. An unconvincing prehistoric menhir: it bears more resemblance to a door pillar used in a much more recently built construction.

The Stoup submitted by NickyD : I remember that this stone was easy to spot and get to. It has lovely views over the fields. Image copyright: stonesearcher, hosted on Flickr and displayed under the terms of their API.
