Located on a round rocky hilltop with a beautiful view over the Drammens Valley to the west. Several other known hillforts are visible from the top of Myreslottet. From a nearby road there is a parking lot with an information poster and a marked footpath leads from the parking lot up to the hillfort. (Be careful of snakes, I almost stepped at several going up the footpath!)

Easy access to the castle area from the N through a gentle slope. Here there is a front wall of relatively small quarried stones and some round stones. It runs in a length of 45m in the WNW-SE direction. It begins in the NW-most corner of the main wall and ends in a small drop at the eastern edge of the castle area. The wall is somewhat eroded and overgrown. Width up to 2m, height up to 1m. There are 2 openings in the wall, both about 2m wide, an opening about 10m SE of the NW corner of the wall, and a 17m ESE of this.

12m SW and up over the outer wall is the main wall. It runs in a WNW-SE direction from a 7-8m high cliff on the NW corner of the castle area to a high, steep cliff in E. 20m SE of the NW corner a clear opening in the wall, approx. 1m wide. A 7-8m high cliff delimits the hillfort area to the W. On top of this, the wall follows in a NE-SSW direction in a l of 60m. In the middle, where there is a cut in the rock, the wall has been particularly strong, but is now heavily collapsed.

The wall swings in a SE direction from the NE corner of the castle area in a 20m l to a high, steep mountainside that delimits the hillfort area towards the SW. To the SW and S, where the hill has ledges and steep mountain slopes, there is a small front wall, 20m long , which goes in a WNW-SE direction. It is built of relatively small quarry stones and is heavily eroded. Width 3m, h 0.5-0.7m. 20m NE and up the hill it again meets the main wall. It has had a break towards the SW, where it is steep cliffs. It starts again in the middle of the hillforts boundary towards the SW and runs 35m in a SE direction where it ends in a high, steep cliff. This delimits the hillfort area to the east.

From the hillforts areas NE corner, the main wall runs in a 50m line in a N-S direction, where the hill falls off in rock ledges to the east. The wall, which is almost continuous around the entire castle area, is built of not very coarse quarry stone. It is, where possible, placed on rock crags. The wall is particularly well preserved to the east. To the north and west it seems to have been particularly strong, here also well preserved, somewhat excavated, but little overgrown. It is in the worst condition towards the SW and S. Here, too, the wall has been of smaller dimensions than on the other sides. The walls lean inwards. Width 2-4m, height up to 1.5m.

The hillfort area itself, which measures N-S approx. 75m, E-W approx. 75m, is very hilly with many rock ridges during the day. In the north-east part of the hillfort area it is a bog with healthy vegetation and the possibility of collecting water. This is also possible in a small bog on the SSW part of the fort area. The area has particularly good natural protection only against the East in the SE-most part of the fort area. At the foot of the hill's eastern side, a small valley runs in a N-S direction. The same is the case on the V-straight side of the collar.
