This site is really three different sites, and although they are spread out a little, I will treat them as one site.
The first site is just north of the church of Munkhaugen. It is a huge burial mound just 10 metres north of the churchyard. It is about 25 metres in diameter and about 1m in height. It is called "Munkhaug", or "The monk's mound", a local name. It has been overplown, but most of it is still visible. It is also 3 other smaller mounds in this site.
The second is a small peninsula called Bessebostadneset. It is a barrow cemetary on the peninsulas highest point consisting of about 20 or more smaller barrow mounds.
There is also a small boat house site, about 9 metres long and about 3-4 metres wide located in a small bay just north of the peninsula.
On a farm field close to the sea, about 1 kilometre west of Munkhaug is another pretty barrow mound, about 15 metres across and 1 metre in height with a very pretty profile and round top.
