Hillfort in Bavaria

Buchberg is a hillfort of Celtic origin. Like the hillfort of Schluepfelberg it is situated on a steep hill of around 590 m height. Today you can easily recognize the dimensions of the whole construction, even though everything is hidden under thick forest bed. There are at least two of the typical Celtic gates that were easy to defend. There is one sign, which describes one of this gates.
