Hillfort in Perry County, Ohio.

A ridge top stone walled enclosure enclosing 24 acres. The walls are stacked stone and include a dramatic natural gap "entrance" in the bedrock of the ridge. The walls are 3 to 6 feet high and 20 feet wide in most places.

Excavation of a stone mound inside the enclosure revealed artifacts dated to 2200 years ago. The area is thought have had use in both the Adena and Hopewell cultural eras.

The southern section of the enclosure, and other small earthworks are part of a 65 acre conservation easement held by the Arc of Appalachia. The northern portion is still preserved by the Cooperrider family. There is no current public access to the site, but there have been publicly announced hikes to the area conducted by the Perry County Historical Society and other groups.

The location given is general.
