The most impressive example for me was the Inca "Koricancha" parts of which can still be seen in, around, and under the church and convent of Santo Domingo. The remains of Inca temple are a great opportunity to appreciate some the details of their superb masonry skills. There are many indications of the solar alignments that would be expected in a temple to honour the Sun God. Well worth a visit.

The capital of the Inca empire from the 13th century CE until the Spanish conquest in 1533.
Originally occupied by the people of the Killke culture from 900 CE to 1200 CE, it was taken over by the Incas in the 13th century CE.
Multiple pre-conquest sites, or their foundations, are known and can still be discerned in a tour of the town. These include the remains of temples, storehouses, and a large number of royal palaces, due to the tradition by which the newly installed Sapa Inca (emperor) was forced to support himself by new conquests while the other relations of the previous Sapa Inca inherited existing older estates. This resulted in large numbers of royal corporations, each maintaining the estates of previous emperors.
