It's just on the south side of the arterial route at the top of north end of Portland, parking at The Heights Hotel just across the road, or if that's full, parking around the corner to the north of the hotel near The Olympic Rings monument. This modern stone circle (more of a 'cove' of stones, I suggest) at Portland's Tout Quarry Sculpture Park on Portland Bill in Dorset was officially opened on June 21st 2017. Also a modern stone row (see nearby sites).

It's just on the south side of the arterial route at the top of north end of Portland, parking at The Heights Hotel just across the road, or if that's full, parking around the corner to the north of the hotel near The Olympic Rings monument. Not to be confused with "The Circle of Stones" further into the sculpture park. See the official website for the concept and explanation of alignments HERE.

Thanks for adding this TimPrevett, it looks pretty amazing and makes me want to go back to Portland. I see that it's called the Memory Stone Installation and is the work of Hannah Sofaer.

There is lots of information on the Memory Stones website

Videos and photographs of the opening of the installation can be seen at the bottom of this page.

    Thanks, TJHavenith - good to see the official website, will add pertinent info to the main entry. There's another sculpture further into the quarry which I have yet to add, having tracked it down a couple days ago.

      That's ok - I'm glad it was a helpful comment. I'm sure I saw this from the roadside when we visited earlier in the year, but I wasn't able to walk far enough to see what it was. You reminded me of the The circle of stones near the car park, which I added yesterday. Unfortunately I don't have a good photo of that sculpture. Hopefully you saw it and have a good one you could add?
