Round Barrow(s) in Buskerud

Just south west of some large farm buildings and at the edge of a huge grassy field is a large and beautiful round barrow. The barrow is overgrown with small grass and around 20 large birch trees are growing on top, probably the reason why the barrow has the name Bjørkhaugen (The Birch Hill). Encircling the barrow is two small roads. On top of the barrow is a picnic table. The site is located on a large area of high land overlooking the landscape to the south. From this place is a beautiful view!

The barrow is around 25 to 30 metres in diameter and around 5 metres in height. It has a beautiful rounded shape and with no crater on top.
