Before you go, read Canmore 22141.
This is an impressive site with a very impressive outlook north to the mountains of Rum, and out to other islands of the Inner Hebrides. The walk is a little over 1 mile each way.
Leave the public car park at Sanna and go NNW to the footbridge where the Allt Sanna meets the beach. I recommend you then aim for, and keep to, the higher ground so as to avoid boggy land you might encounter on a more direct NNE route. The east and west sides of the fort are high and vertical. Stand too close to either and a sudden gust of wind might cause serious consequences.
