Ru Ardvule
Date Added: 9th Jun 2011
Site Type: Stone Row / Alignment
Country: Scotland (South Uist)
Visited: Yes on 14th Feb 2005

Ru Ardvule submitted by Tom_Bullock on 14th Feb 2005. The wooden post marks the stone the tip of which may be seen. In 1914 this stone stood 7' high. Clearly, in a little over 90 years windblown sand has accumulated to a depth of over 8' and would completely cover the stone but for regular clearance.Photo used by kind permission of Tom Bullock. More details of this location are to be found on his Stone Circles and Rows CD-ROM.

Preseb y Fawch Frech submitted by Tom_Bullock on 24th Oct 2006. The OS Map shows nothing at these coordinates. The coordinates place the site within an impenetrable, dense forest within 100m of an access road. I did not even attempt to search for stones.

Pen-Y-Stryd
Date Added: 9th Jun 2011
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: Wales (Gwynedd)
Visited: Yes on 24th Oct 2006

Pen-Y-Stryd submitted by Tom_Bullock on 24th Oct 2006. The OS Map shows nothing at these coordinates. Burl lists this circle as ruined but recognizable in his Stone Circle Gazetteer (2000). I don't think so, at least not at the provided coordinates. There are some scattered stones amidst the tall grass, but I can only make out an arrangement if I desparately need to find one to justify the time, effort and cost of getting there.

Moel Goedog E
Date Added: 9th Jun 2011
Site Type: Ring Cairn
Country: Wales (Gwynedd)
Visited: Yes on 24th Oct 2006

Moel Goedog E submitted by Tom_Bullock on 24th Oct 2006. The OS Map shows 'Cairn Circles' at these coordinates. Two cairn circles stand within 160 feet of one another, generally sited E–W of one another. The one at the coordinates consists of shoulder–to–shoulder stones in a circle, as does the one to the W at SN61013245. The latter appears to have several standing stones external to those in the ring and that form a circle around them. The tallest stones are about 2–feet high.
