Easter Aquhorthies

Easter Aquhorthies submitted by Runemage on 30th Jul 2010. Much is said about the composition of the pink stone at Easter Aquhorthies but I've not been able to find out exactly what it's made from. The crystal laid on it for colour-comparison is six and a half inch long haemetite quartz which has itself a delicate pinky-peachy hue. Note to self, next time you go, take some unpolished rose quartz for comparison! Are there any geologists out there who know what this stone...
