Log Text: This is a very grand and powerful site in beautiful location. It is not marked on the road as of June 2018 but there is a pullover and a gate. Head due west about .6 K. There is a sign and information once you reach the site. The broken capstone is a mystery. Its hard to tell whether it split after, during or before construction. If it cracked after the original construction it had a sizable capstone less supported than any I have seen. The current construction makes sense as a way of using a capstone that had broken during transport to the site.

Log Text: This was once a great dolmen. Sadly, the excavation was severely marred by removing the mound to reveal the stone core. It may have included the removal of the capstone??? Tell me this is not true. The site is now covered by a tin roof and entrance into the chamber is prohibited. The idea of protecting a 6 or 7 thousand year old stone monument with a tin roof is a sad comment on the hubris of the people that "conserved" the site. It would have been much better left alone in its original state.

Log Text: This group of dolmens is a bit of an adventure. It seems rarely visited but the surroundings are great. You will pass the first dolmens right beside a iron gate that was locked but allows pedestrian access when I was there in June 2018. Continue to the beautiful but fallen menhir and behind the menhir is the access to most of the dolmens. The Megalithic Portal app on my phone came in very handy since I had a mobil wifi.
