Cousane submitted by frogcottage42 on 8th Mar 2010. Looking from the South. This is an odd circle and may have been disturbed during peat cutting. It axis appears to be rotated as if one portal has been uprooted and placed next to the other.

Coste-Rouge Dolmen

Coste-Rouge Dolmen submitted by thecaptain on 7th Oct 2005. Coste-Rouge Dolmen on a sunny, but cold and windy afternoon in September. Unfortunately, to see this dolmen nowadays, the full guided tour of the abbey has to be taken - there are no longer any open visits round the grounds because it has been made into an animal park. But its worth it.

Coat Castel menhir

Coat Castel menhir submitted by JohnGinny on 2nd Sep 2007. Another hillside track menhir on the outskirts of the village. Overlooking the river that feeds the local fontaine. Again high earth banks delineating the pathway to the stone. A very impressive 7 meters high, it hid amongst the trees until we nearly bumped into it! Woodland menhirs have a tendency to turn the same colour as trees which makes hunting them rather difficult - even when accompanied by a detailed map. A imposing stone, apparently it is well known locally and located in a w...

Cloghboola Beg

Cloghboola Beg submitted by KenWilliams on 24th May 2006. A very odd and intriguing site, the round arrangement of stones in the background isn't the actual stone circle, its that strange structure in the foreground! This was possibly a five stone circle, the two portals are long slabs forming a passage like entrance. There are at least eight outlying stones including what once must have been a three stone alignment close to the radial circle.
