Log Text: We went looking for this cairn from the north, after visiting the Bryn Seward stone alignment. This was definitely a mistake in terms of making headway, but we did come across the most fantastic erratic while stumbling through the forrest, and also saw the circle of stones which were clearly something significant.
From later research, these seem to be the hut circles listed by RCAHMW database.
The ‘path’ shown on OS maps through the forest cannot be relied upon, and the firebreak track through the conifers becomes a virtual river whenever it rains.
The cairn is actually very easily reached from the upper lane.
I first became aware of this cairn from some really helpful jottings I came across on the net a couple of years ago – I hope their journey comments and well-described routes inspire others too:

Beuno's Well (Clynnog Fawr)
Date Added: 19th Apr 2012
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: Wales (Gwynedd)
Visited: Yes on 1st Sep 2011. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 3 Access 5

Beuno's Well (Clynnog Fawr) submitted by AngieLake on 11th Jul 2006. St Beuno's Well, or Fynnon Beuno, at Clynnog Fawr. This was once very popular with pilgrims and looked very inviting from the road. (Beware when visiting, as this road is lethal - the traffic whizzes past about an inch from your nose; and, fool that I am, I was there at leaving work time! There are no pavements and it's quite narrow, with no verge. I walked along it trying to catch a glimpse of the dolmen, as well as the well!)

Log Text: The Well is no longer alongside the busy A499 because of the new Clynnog by-pass. The Well is now in a cul-de-sac formed by the by-pass - it must have been awful to walk to it before!
There seems to have been significant damage to the structure of the wall at some point during or prior to 2010, and the well was still locked in Sept 2011.

Black Down (Dorset) submitted by TimPrevett on 15th Jan 2021. "The Black Down stone circle consists of five ‘totems’ built from local Forest Marble stone. One is aligned with true north and the other four with the midwinter and midsummer solstice sunrises and sunsets. In clear conditions at each of these times, the Sun’s full disc shines through an opening in one of the totems, lighting up a central rock of Portland stone."
"The circle is part of a larger project that finds creative ways to navigate and explore the South Dorset Ridgeway. A second ...

Boskednan stone circle submitted by JimChampion on 22nd Aug 2005. The portal stones illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun. The tallest one (on the left) has a diagonal groove present on this and the opposite side. The holes that the restored stones were raised from have been covered with pegged down foliage, presumably to encourage regrowth on the bare earth.

Bretta Ness submitted by PAB on 11th Jan 2021. The Archaeological Notes for Bretta Ness on Canmore do not offer a definitive period or purpose for this small feature off the eastern edge of the Loch of Wasbister.
Follow the link in the Comments below to read further....
It was however significant enough to catch my attention when driving down towards the loch, so I took some photos intending to follow it up.

Bryn Cader Faner submitted by pab on 20th Apr 2012. Beautiful place...the access wasn't as difficult as I'd expected, so I think the it is only fair to acknowledge the improvements made to the paths.
Difficult balance between improving access and keeping it remote & special....
I was a bit reluctant to add to the the amazing images already posted for this site, but this sky tempted me enough to do so!
