Log Text: Fantastic site with a great feel about it, you can really get a sense of how the people would have lived and the sense of age is great. Well worth a visit.

Court Cave

Court Cave submitted by johnur on 13th Nov 2018. West entrance to Court Cave in September 2018. Comparison with old photos on Canmore will show that the ground level outside the cave is now several feet higher than it was 100 years ago. The top of the old wall in the Canmore photos is now just below the present ground level. This is due to pit waste from Michael Colliery accumulating on the foreshore to establish a ground level which became permanent when rock armour was installed in the late 20th century to prevent coastal erosion.

Croft Moraig

Croft Moraig submitted by Nick on 5th Nov 2002. From Aberfeldy take the A827 west towards Kenmore. About 6 kilometres along this road on the left (south side) is a small road leading to Tullichuil farm. Park carefully at this entrance, and there is a gate leading in to the field on the west side of the road. The circle is plainly visible from here. Ensure the gate is shut properly as there are often sheep in the field. There is a good information board here outlining the history of the site, which has three distinct phases. Initially fo...

Log Text: Interesting site, would be better on a nicer day as it was pouring. A high point in the land with an excellent view. Can park in a lay-by a short distance down the road but crossing a fence and walking through the muddy field is required. Worth the visit.

Log Text: Excellent site and interesting commentary from the man in the visitor center. Has been re purposed many times over the years. Again at a high point in the land as seems to be commonplace with many neolithic sites.
