Culbone Stone

Culbone Stone submitted by PhilipGlastonbury on 23rd May 2013. Culbone Stone took ages to find, but it was worth it. The wood has an odd atmosphere, and the stone - when you eventually find it - seems to be waiting for you.

Porz Guen dolmens

Porz Guen dolmens submitted by thecaptain on 14th Jun 2006. Remains of two dolmens on the clifftop to the north of the Porz Guen beach on the Cote Sauvage of the Quiberon Peninsula. The more inland is the most complete, with one capstone surviving on the entry couloir. The chamber would probably have been roofed with large corbelled capstones around it, many of which survive fallen neaby.

St Samson's Well (Landunvez)

St Samson's Well (Landunvez) submitted by pab on 22nd Dec 2014. St Samson's Well, October 2014. It was such a bright day that I used a hood-type attachment on the camera, which I am not used to (not getting much practice with it in west Wales!). Hence the odd 'border effect' - but I rather liked it so I haven't tried to tidy it up.... The location was delightful, easy to visit as it was right alongside the coastal road.
