Trip No.2 Date Added: 3rd Jan 2014
Site Type: Hillfort
Country: England (Somerset)
Visited: Yes on 17th Jul 2011. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 5 Access 3

Dowsborough Castle submitted by Bladup on 10th Oct 2013. Dowsborough Castle, It's an almost intact fort, I think the fact it's a little overgrown has protected it.
Even though it is a little overgrown it does have a good path right around the fort.

Columcille Megalith Park submitted by Aluta on 8th Sep 2006. This trilithon, called Thor's Gate, is one of the highlights of Columcille. Other features include a circle of low stones and a construction that gives the appearance of being the entrance to a long barrow.
There are also two very small chapels, not megalithic, built more on a medieval model. A third chapel, to be built underground, is under construction.

America's Stonehenge
Date Added: 2nd Aug 2013
Site Type: Ancient Village or Settlement
Country: United States (New England)
Visited: Would like to visit

America's Stonehenge submitted by thecaptain on 14th Dec 2003. The sacrificial table at Mystery Hill, also known as America's Stonehenge, near Salem, New Hampshire. Is it an ancient site or a fairly modern construction ? They say its over 4000 years old, but who built it ?
When I visited 10 to 15 years ago it was a really horrible wet day, so I didnt get many pictures. And I have to say, that despite their best efforts to assure me that carbon dating of objects prove it to be 4000 years old, the stones just didnt look weathered enough to me.
