Boskenna Cross submitted by enkidu41 on 15th Nov 2004. The shot shows the principal face of the cross with its depiction of Christ.
The three-part base is out of all proportion to the cross. The look of stability is deceptive given its three damaging brushed with modern traffic!

Log Text: Massive stone cross with very faint carvings across the front and back. The church guide pamphlet puts it's height at 17'6" with 7ft still underground, as well as calling it the tallest of it's kind in Cornwall. It has a very faint carving at the top of three concentric circles and on the other side in a similar spot is a spiral.

Date Added: 20th Feb 2023
Site Type: Stone Circle
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 19th Feb 2023. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 5 Access 1

Boskednan stone circle submitted by JimChampion on 22nd Aug 2005. The portal stones illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun. The tallest one (on the left) has a diagonal groove present on this and the opposite side. The holes that the restored stones were raised from have been covered with pegged down foliage, presumably to encourage regrowth on the bare earth.

Date Added: 20th Feb 2023
Site Type: Standing Stone (Menhir)
Country: England (Cornwall)
Visited: Yes on 19th Feb 2023. My rating: Condition 2 Ambience 4 Access 1

Boskednan Menhir 1 submitted by theCaptain on 14th Oct 2014. From my dim memories, I thought that the menhir was somewhere between the stone circle and the cairns along the path towards Men-an-Tol.
On the way back I notice indeed there is a stump and perhaps a fallen stone right on the pathway where I was expecting it, is it remains of a pair?
Pipers perhaps?

Log Text: A very sad little stump, it's ambience is definitely enhanced by the Boskednan stone circle behind it.
