The Ponteland Boulder submitted by Anne T on 18th May 2015. This recently discovered boulder sits in the gardens of the Great North Museum, to the right hand side of the access road which leads to the bank of bins at the rear door of the museum.

Log Text: Absolutely gorgeous stone with bright clear carvings. There's a informational card at the base of the stone for local insight into how it came to be in the church. The church itself is also absolutely stunning with two stone crosses in its gardens and old wall paintings within the church that survived whitewashing.

Tregeseal C submitted by thecaptain on 10th Oct 2008. The central Tregeseal circle, was destroyed by the farmer in 1961 because it was "in the way".
However, 4 of the stones remain in the field hedge which takes in a part of the arc of the circle. These are two of the stones.

The path on the left leads from the Kenidjack Common holed stones to the Tregeseal East stone circle. In the distance (towards the left) is the small town of St Just.

Ventongassick submitted by KiwiBetsy on 17th Oct 2006. Steps lead down into the well which sits below ground level. It appeared to have been fitted with a pump but had a deep pool of water.

Log Text: Very risky if care is not taken - cars whip by increidbly fast. Lovely well with steps going down, the water is audiable even running deeper than the well walls suggest. Take care when wet - leaves make it slippy :-)

Wookey Hole Caves submitted by JimChampion on 26th Aug 2008. Fairly standard picture from one of the first caverns (The so-called Witch's Kitchen) at Wookey Hole caves. The water is the River Axe, which soon after this point emerges into the open. Bear in mind that the water level in the caves was raised by the construction of Wookey Hole mill in the 17th century (and even further back with the mill recorded in the Domesday Book). Yelland submitted by archaeologyh on 3rd Feb 2004. E.H. Rogers standing at the end of The Yelland Multiple Stone Row (approx 1932). The site is now covered by tidal silt and is located within the RSPB nature reserve of Isley Marsh.
